How To Use
Frequently Asked Questions

Why does tan(90) show undefined?

tan(90ยฐ) is mathematically undefined โ€” its value approaches positive infinity. This is the correct mathematical result. In RAD mode, tan(ฯ€/2) similarly returns undefined. Our calculator correctly handles this instead of showing a large error number.

What is the difference between DEG, RAD and GRAD?

DEG (degrees) measures angles on a 0โ€“360 scale. RAD (radians) is the standard in mathematics โ€” a full circle is 2ฯ€. GRAD divides a right angle into 100 units (full circle = 400 grad). Always select the correct mode before using sin, cos or tan.

How do I enter sin(30)?

Click the DEG button, then click sin, type 30, then press ) to close the bracket, then press =. The result will be 0.5.

What functions are supported?

sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, atan2, sinh, cosh, tanh, logโ‚โ‚€, ln, logโ‚‚, โˆš, โˆ›, abs, exp, factorial, ceil, floor, round, xโฟ, xยฒ, xยณ, mod/% and all constants ฯ€, e, ฯ†.

Can I use the keyboard?

Yes โ€” type numbers and operators directly. Press Enter or = to calculate. Backspace deletes last character. Escape clears everything.

What is Programmer mode?

Programmer mode converts numbers between binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal. It also supports bitwise operations: AND, OR, XOR, NOT, shift left (SHL) and shift right (SHR).

Is this calculator free?

Yes โ€” completely free, no login or registration required. All calculations run locally in your browser with no data sent to any server.
